The Second Happiest Place on Earth

... well according to Dayne anyway! We took a family vacation to the Wisconsin Dells. We met the rest of the Carlson family there- well minus Jeff and Mary. It was a lot of fun. When we got there we went on the Dells Army Ducks. It was cool to ride in the vehicle on both land and water.

Later in the evening we went to the Tommy Bartlett Show. It was kinda cheesy but a fun experience. This is how we found Dayne and Lylah in the morning-- oh so sweet!Of course we had a blast at the Kalahari where we stayed. Dayne was a little fish! He thought the whole trip was WAY COOL! Dayne thought the Lazy River was cool because he could touch the whole time! The nice life guard helped pull Dayne out of the tube after he went down the slide!Rich and Lylah on the Lazy River. It took a few tries to get her to go on the tube... As long as the water was not falling on Lylah's head she loved it! All the kids with Grandma and Grandpa Carlson. I just love how Dayne is sitting- such a boy!A family photo in the lobby. We hope to go back again next year with everyone. The kids loved to see their cousins, grandma, grandpa, aunt, and uncle. Always Wear A Helmet

This has been the summer of bike rides. We have gone to some really fun and far places on our bike. We decided one Sunday afternoon to take a trip to the Coon Rapids Dam. It is about a 13 -mile round trip. An easy ride- or so we thought. Here we are getting ready to go.This is what happens when you are distracted and crash into a road construction sign. I also had cut up my leg, ankle, and also hit my head. Thank goodness I had my helmet on or it could have been worse. After a few adjustments to my bike we were on our way again.... yes I am a trooper! HA HA!This is just one photo of the Dam. I thought it was neat how the tree log was on the edge. When we took a ride back the next Sunday it was gone.

One thing that Dayne commented on was how loud it was. He asked why it was there so we read the signs by the Dam to explain- I don't think it all made sense but he did say it was cool!

We took another bike ride the next weekend back to the Coon Rapids Dam and from there we went to Elm Creek- this was a 30 mile bike ride round trip. This time the kids had their helmets on in the trailer!
We brought a picnic to eat the the Dam.When we got to Elm Creek the kids had a blast at the playground!Lylah thought this was the coolest! We plan on going on a few more adventures before the summer is over! It is nice to ride as a family!

Dancing Princess!

Even though it took a few weeks our Lylah loves Dance Class! She can't wait for it to start again in the fall. Lylah had dance class with her best friend Tessa and my co-worker's daughter Grace. They start the class all by themselves with the teacher and at the end the parents get to come and watch what they learned!

These photos made me smile because of how Lylah had her skirt pulled up! Oh she is so cute!!Here is the last dance class with the girls showing us their routine.
