Last Few

Here are a few more photos from the trip that I thought I would share. I am still playing around with a few of them so I don't know if these are the final edits.. but I wanted to post them. The first day we were in Duluth it was REALLY overcast. Two different looks at the same place. I am playing around with how bright I want to make it. It was so cloudy and I was using my telephoto lens to take the photo. I like them both for different reasons.
This one just makes me laugh a little... the deer came right up by where we were. Actually there were quite a few (babies too!) around the area. Last but not least is my Belle, Lylah. She was into playing "where is Lylah" in the back seat so I just had to take a photo of her. I love how it shows off her beautiful blue eyes.
There ya have it... our trip to Duluth in a nut shell. It was a nice way to spend my birthday as well. It is always nice to get away for a little while. I am thinking next year it might need to be somewhere warm. But our spring break is extra short next year so I don't know what that will bring!
Until next time!

From the EDGE....

Our vacation continued with a trip to the Edge Water Park. Now for those of you that know me really well know that water is not my thing. It is funny because I am a Pisces - a water sign- and I am suppose to love the water but when I was little I didn't have a great experience with water and I haven't been a fan since. But I do try to get over it for my kids. We decided to go to a water park because Dayne LOVES the water. He can't get enough of it. So of course he was difficult to get out of there when the trip was over. Lylah had enough after an hour. She actually screamed on the Lazy River. I think it was the dumping bucket that sent her over the edge. It was nice to get away and have a change of scenery. Even though there were 6 families from my school there and I had a few kids waving at me- PLUS my assistant principal was there. So needless to say I didn't get much of an escape but it was a good time for the most part. Enjoy the photos. I could post a lot more but I tried to keep it under control!

Lylah watching the bucket of water fall.

Happy guy on the Lazy River!

WHEEE!! what fun!!!!

Lylah watching the action and waiting for Dayne to come down the slide.

My happy girl- on the edge of the pool where she was most happy!

He couldn't get enough!

Until next time!

Great Lakes Aquarium

We decided to get away for a couple of days and head to Duluth. A short 2 hour drive up 35. We left early on Thursday to take advantage of some site seeing before we checked into our hotel. Our stop at the Aquarium was a lot of fun. We got to feed some fish and Dayne and Lylah loved playing with the boats in the great lakes display that had let them send boats through the locks.

I thought this was a pretty neat photo of one of the boats...They had a sea horse exhibit.
Making waves!

Feeding the fish.

Stay tuned for some photos of our adventure at the water park.
Unit next time

Stylin!

Yesterday after our trip to the Children's Museum we took the kids for haircuts. It was a long time coming. Usually we cut Dayne's hair at home but he would have NOTHING to do with it. So we decided to take him to Sports Clips. It actually was a good day to go because they were giving away 2 free Timberwolves tickets with any haircut. So Rich and Dayne are off to a game on March 13th. Later I took Lylah to Kids Hair. This was the first time she sat and didn't cry! I was so happy about that. Her new 'do is short! It is super cute on her too. I decided to make a quick digital scrapbook page of their new styles. I used the new free download at Shabbyprincess.com for it. I should have taken more time to get more creative but I am pretty happy with how it turned out. The site if full of great stuff for free and for purchase. If you are interested in digital scrapbooking it is a great place to get started!
Until next time!

Children's Museum

What better way to start off the month of March than with friends at the Children's Museum. It is another cold day so it was great to go somewhere inside. The kids had a blast! Dayne thought every part was fun. He didn't want to leave. It was fun just to watch them run around and explore. I had lots of fun photos of their adventure so I put them quick into a smilebox show. Take a look and enjoy!
